Homeschool programs
Families must pre-register for classes. Pay ahead and spots will be guaranteed. The fee /day is $5/child. I cannot take credit cards, just cash or check payable to “TWEP”. I have designed these sessions to NOT be dependent on each other, so that your child/children can attend one and not the others. Certainly I would love to see them attend all 3. It is best that students are grouped appropriately to learn, so I like to set up 3 groups - primary, intermediate, and upper level. This will depend on the ages of those that sign up. I will email confirmation of the classes if enough register to participate. Seeds on the Move - October 17- 1:30 - 3:15 Students will learn about how seeds move, why they need to move, and facts about a plant life cycle. We will travel the TWEP trails and collect seeds to observe in the classroom. Activities will revolve around the seeds. Upper level students will build a “seed.” Turkey Time - November 14 - 1:30 - 3:15 Students will learn about the real lives of wild turkeys. Activities related to turkeys and the forest will be the focus of this session. Upper level students will learn about genetic traits. My, What Large Antlers You Have! - January 16 - 1:30 - 3:15 Students will learn about horns vs antlers. We will discuss how each form and how they are used by animals. Students will be able to observe a variety of horns and antlers. Upper level students will practice measuring and scoring antlers. |
